 Transcendence is a si-fi movie. 

The main concept of this movie is that there should be a computer 

That has the knowledge beyond humanity. 

Transcendence means a thing which is beyond ordinary limitations. 

In religious terms it can also be called as God. 

Dr. Will is the main character of this movie who is a very brilliant scientist. 

Who is on research that how they can add nature of sapience in artificial intelligence. 

Sapience is such a ability that help us to think and act using our 

Knowledge, experience, understanding, common sense, understanding and insight. 

Dr. Will is researching on transferring this nature of Sapience in artificial intelligence. 

Meaning such a computer that is made combining the intelligence of the entire humanity. 

That would be more intelligence then any human. 

Which has the capability to act exactly like a human. 

On the other hand Evelyn is also a very intelligent scientist. 

Who also help her husband in his research. 

It’s Evelyn’s dream to finish the diseases from the earth using science. 

And to cure the planet, to give a better future to our coming generations. 

Will is also working hard to fulfill this dream of Evelyn. 

The third main character is Max who is also a scientist and a friend of Will. 

Max and Evelyn are working on the same project. 

Movie starts and we see Max going in an abundant house. 

Max goes in the garden of that house and sees all the planets dead except the sunflowers. 

Max goes near it and sees a drop of water falling of the sunflower. 

Scenes shifts 5 years back, Dr. Evelyn and Will needs fund for their project.

For which they do a event related to technology. 

There Will, Evelyn and Max do the speeches. Will explains his research. 

He tells according to him its computer transcendence. 

The thinking power of this computer is more than any existing human on this earth. 

This computer will have emotions, thinking, ability, judgment and insight just like humans. 

In simple this computer will be just like God. Yes, God but manmade God. 

This research’s of Will is very controversial. 

That makes him famous but many people are against him. 

And because of this research he becomes the main target of an anti technology terrorist group RIFT. 

When Will, Evelyn and Max comes out after their speeches. 

A man of RIFT shoots Will and commits suicide. 

Luckily that bullet passes through Will and Will survives. 

On the other side, artificial laboratories are attacked in the whole country. 

Somewhere bomb blasts and other are killed by making them eat cakes laced with poison. 

RIFT thinks that by using technology God can be replaced. 

And the world is destroying that why they are doing all these attacks. 

According to them by destroying technology they can save the world. 

Due to these attacks all the artificial intelligence labs are destroyed n the country. 

Only Will’s research and lab is left. There FBI agent Donald also arrives. 

He is basically sent by the government. 

To take help from Will because all other AI labs are destroyed. 

Will’s colleague and friend says that it’s only Will’s lab where they can make artificial intelligence. 

That why the defense department is asking for his coordination. 

Will refuses the government indulgences. 

Agent Donald ask him to show his already made artificial intelligence PINN. 

PINN is a super power quantum computer machine which can compute any information in seconds. 

And this has the state of the art thinking capability. 

But this computer lacks nature of sapience. 

PINN automatically recognize Joseph and Donald’s identity even though they never came to the lab. 

 

They all are talking about AI when Will feels dizziness. 

So Evelyn ends the meeting and takes Will home. 

Here Will’s health gets worse and in medical checkups we get to know that

The bullet that attacked Will was made up of polonium. 

Polonium is a rare and highly radioactive metal. 

Doctors tell that Will can’t live more than a month. 

Evelyn gets really sad and is desperate to save Will. 

She hits with an idea. She gets this idea from the experiments on monkey’s brain. 

She call Max and tells him that she has an idea to saved Will. 

That they can upload Will’s consciousness in PINN. 

Evelyn’s plan is to combine Will’s research and the research on monkey’s brain. 

And to add Will’s consciousness meaning thinking in an artificial intelligence PINN.

Now the advantage is this that after dying physically Will can still be alive in an artificial computer way.

But Max doesn’t agree and says that Will is not a monkey to be experimented on.

Evelyn shows Max his research and tries to convince him but he is still in a doubt. 

Will explains Max that he will die anyway but Max will regret if he didn’t avail this opportunity. 

 

Max agrees reluctantly and starts the work with Evelyn. 

Max and Evelyn work really hard for this project. 

During this a month passes by.

One day Evelyn tries to wake Will up for medicines but he doesn’t respond. 

Max check Will’s breath and finds out he is dead. 

When they come back from the funeral Evelyn tries to start AI. 

But she fails, shuts the computer and is leaving with Max.

She reopens the computer to clear the drive. 

She is doing her when a message appears on the screen. 

Evelyn replies and asks is this Will?

Will answers in his voice but his words are doubling. 

Evelyn and Max gets happy on seeing this and Will starts coding by himself. 

To hide the project from government Evelyn shuts down the PINN project. 

And take out some quantum codes.

To get even more stable Will asks Evelyn to give him online access. 

So that he can become more powerful. After hearing this Max gets a little shocked. 

After closing the audio and video he asks Evelyn how can she be so sure that it’s Will? 

This could also be the artificial intelligence PINN. 

Evelyn gets angry and asks Max to leave. 

And connects Will with internet through satellite. 

On the other hand RIFT is against PINN and Bree the leader of RIFT wants to destroy it. 

And they finds out that Evelyn has unplugged the codes of PINN and she is using AI.

For more information they kidnap Max. 

Meanwhile Evelyn got tracked and they all want to attack Evelyn. 

There, Evelyn is helping Will in coding and see them coming. 

She quickly transfers Will online and runs after closing the computer. 

After coming online Will collects all the information about RIFT. 

And send this to FBI’s computers. 

The agents gets shocked while Joseph tells them that someone is helping them.  

Donald immediately collects the team and raid the R.I.F.T’s hideouts and also arrests them.

On the other hand, Willgets online access and tells Evelyn about a place named Brightwood to stay safe.

There, within 2 years they make a technologically advanced data center.

Here, Will with the help of his research

Develops a ground breaking technology on medicine, energy, biology and nanotechnology 

Technology wise, Will gets so advanced

That now he, with his nanotechnology, can rebuild the human cells.

He can heal any illness or injury.

Even he can understand people’s emotions and connect mind to mind with them.

And can even control them.

When Will portrays his ability to control people’s minds

Even Evelyn gets scared of his abilities.

In one of movie’s scenes we see Evelyn’s property manager Martin

is brought to their lab in a compr1omising condition.

And Will heals him using his nanotechnology.

Next day, Evelyn goes to meet Martin.

Martin seems more enhanced and strong then a normal human being.

Also, Will talks through Martin and reveals he is connected to Martin.

And Will is in person, Evelyn panics and leaves.

Enhanced video of Martin gets viral and R.I.F.T also gets to see it.

After the video people visit the lab for treatment even from the farther areas.

One day, Joseph and Donald also visit the town.

And Evelyn brings them to lab.

Will welcomes them to which Joseph is shocked.

And before leaving he gives a paper to Evelyn.

Which reads ‘Run away from this place.’

While leaving Joseph and Donald discuss the lab

They consider such technology dangerous and develops a plan to stop it.

Meanwhile, Bree sees Evelyn’s lab’s pictures and her company’s development 

Considers A.I dangerous. So, Max tells her everything.

And Max contacts Joseph on R.I.F.T’s behalf

He tells him he helped Evelyn that’s why he knows how to end the technology.

TO stop will R.I.F.T and FBI form an alliance.

They form a tunnel to reach the lab present in Brightwood.

Meanwhile, Evelyn gets rude with Will and he declares it a hormonal condition.

Evelyn gets shocked and demands Will to show her all the data he has about her.

That data has Evelyn’s thoughts, emotions and hormones condition.

Evelyn leaves the lab in anger and goes to the solar panels.

Will tries to talk to him through Martin

Meanwhile blasts occur in that area.

With a whole in the ground Max comes out from it with R.I.F.T and FBI

Max knows everything about PINN’s source code.

To destroy Will they collectively decide to develop a virus

To delete the source code and destroy it

Max asks Evelyn to come with him.

But Martin keeps on standing in front of him.

And more labors come there.

Max shoots a labor but he is healed by the nanotechnology.

Everybody panics after seeing this.

Martin and the others shoot on the labors and run away on a jeep. 

Evelyn goes to her apartment whereas, Martin jumps in the tunnel.

And follows the people in it.

Meanwhile labors run after the jeep.

Here we can see that the labors are so enhanced

That they run at the speed of the jeep

Labors kill the people in the jeep.

But Martin in trapped in the tunnel through a copper fence.

By this, his connection with Will breaks.

Now, R.I.F.T and FBI kidnaps and brings Evelyn with them.

Here, we see, Will spreads his nanotechnology in the world through air and water.

That starts to eradicate world’s pollution and disease.

Meanwhile, Max tells Evelyn that if they spread in the whole world

Nothing would be left organic.

Evelyn also thinks that the A.I PINN is doing all this instead of Will.

Evelyn is convinced and suggests a plan.

She says if they inject a virus in her body

She will then ask will to upload her system

Which will shift the virus in Will’s system as well.

When Will will upload Evelyn’s consciousness in his system the virus will attack his source code.

And delete his source code that will eventually end him forever.

But this will affect whole world’s technology as he is connected through internet.

Evelyn takes the injection and leaves for the lab.

Whereas, R.I.F.T and FBI covers the whole town

And keeps an eye on Evelyn from a distance as she walks towards the lab.

Evelyn reaches the Solar panel area.

There Will comes out in a physical form.

After seeing this Evelyn and the people keeping an eye on her gets shocked.

Evelyn gets happy, hugs him and starts talking to him sweetly.

Will considers the place unsafe for her and asks her to leave.

To which Evelyn asks him to upload her consciousness in order to keep her safe.

On the other side, the FBI agents think their plan isn’t working

Because Will is not taking Evelyn inside.

That’s why give the orders to blast on them.

Max tries to stop them but nobody listens to him.

Blasts starts occurring and Evelyn begs Will to upload her.

But Will stands and observes everything like a statue.

Will has actually detected Evelyn’s emotions and has understood her plan.

That’s why he is not uploading her consciousness.

Evelyn is gravely injured by a blast and Will takes her inside.

He also attacks on R.I.F.T and FBI through the people connected to him by nanotechnology.

Max and Bree’s car turns upside down while rushing towards the lab.

And Bree takes Max on gun point as she gets out of the car.

Bree threats Will to shoot Max if he doesn’t upload the virus in himself.

Will is in the apartment with injured Evelyn.

And Evelyn is seeing everything live by the video he displays.

Due to the power supply being damages Will can either save Max or upload the virus within him.

Evelyn tells him that Max should not be punished for their mistakes.

So, he should upload the virus in his system.

Will listens to her and uploads her consciousness in his system.

He connects and shows her that he was trying to fulfil Evelyn’s dream to make the world a better place.

Evelyn realizes she was wrong. All this time she thought it was A.I PINN

But in reality it was Will himself.

As Will uploads Evelyn all the people connected to him through nanotech get the virus

And his connection with connected people ends.

Will asks Evelyn to think about the garden and sunflowers in her home.

As Max reaches them he finds both of them dead.

Due the virus the global technology shuts down alongside Will.

We see the beginning scene of the movie again

Where Max is looking at sunflower in Will and Evelyn’s garden.

That are still fresh even after the period of three years.

When he observes keenly, He sees the water dropping from the sunflower cleans the oily water below.

He understands that the copper fence somehow protected these particles from the virus.

And the movie ends here.

So, Viewers, afterall Will wasn’t doing anything bad.

Rather he was just fulfilling Evelyn’s dream.

But he was ending the aspect of mortality in people.

If the aspect of mortality ends from mankind, the difference of good and bad will also end within them.

And it will also end morality within them.

Because our belief in death and afterlife forces us to respect moral values.

And if a computer starts to control the whole world

So, it can be used as a weapon to destroy the world. What do you think?
